The Administrative Services Department is a front-facing role in the City of Carnation, serving the residents by responding to any inquiries they may have. The employees in this department manage the reception area, providing exemplary customer service in-person or via phone. Administrative Services processes utility billing, claims, and business licenses.
The Administrative Services Manger also serves as the City Clerk. The Clerk attends to various concerns of the residents and issues legal notices related to all City business, including public hearings and contracts. As the official "keeper of records" for all municipal documents, this is done in accordance with state mandates. This office also prepares the agenda for Council Meetings, compiles the minutes, and assists in the formation of resolutions.
