Goal
The City of Carnation is seeking 5 members of the community to establish a fair, transparent, and effective salary commission. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds that represent the various perspectives within the City.

Purpose of the Commission
The Commission is a voluntary advisory body that will review and recommend salaries for the City Council to the City Council for their consideration.

Meeting Frequency
The Commission will meet twice in July 2025, then once a year (July) for the duration of their term.

Term Lengths
Two members of the Commission will have one-year terms, and three members will have two-year terms. This schedule ensures fresh perspectives and prevents long-term influence by a single group

Conflicts of Interest
You are unable to participate in the Commission if you are employed by the City of Carnation or have a family member employed by the City of Carnation.

Applications will be accepted April 1, 2025 – May 16, 2025. The final selection will be announced on June 2, 2025.
